Privacy policy
This policy explains what personal data Jagos Friends collects, why, and what rights you have. Controller: [company or owner name, address, email].
What we collect
- Accounts: name, email, password (stored encrypted), and optionally phone number and links to your Instagram or Facebook profile.
- Pet profiles: photos and details about your pet, an approximate home area, and optionally your home address. The address is never shown publicly.
- Lost and found reports: photos, details about the animal, where and when it was seen, and your contact details. Contact details are never shown publicly.
- Sightings and messages: when you share your location or send a message, we store it with any contact details you give, and forward it to the owner or reporter.
- Orders: name, email, phone and delivery address.
- Technical data: IP address and cookies, used for security and spam prevention.
Why we use it
- To run your account, pet profiles and orders (performance of a contract).
- To publish reports and pass on messages, at your request (consent / contract).
- To keep the site safe from spam and abuse (legitimate interest).
Location data
We only access your device location when you tap a button such as “Share my location” or “Use my location”, and your browser asks for your permission first. Public maps show an approximate area only. We remove hidden location data (EXIF) from uploaded photos.
Who we share it with
Messages and shared locations go to the pet owner or the person who posted the report. We use [hosting provider], [email provider] and OpenStreetMap map tiles to run the site. We do not sell your data.
How long we keep it
Account data is kept until you delete your account. Reports are kept while they are active and for [12 months] after being marked reunited. Order data is kept as required by tax law.
Your rights

Cookies
We only use cookies that are needed for the site to work (login, basket, and short-lived form messages). No tracking or advertising cookies.
